Former President Barack Obama once said "Reading is important. If you know how to read, then the whole world opens up to you." Our WCSD students have a world open to them through the power of reading, and at the same time they are providing for their community. Through our partnership with Food for Thought and The St. Joe Community Foundation, our students raised more than $55,000 dollars by reading books and taking AR Tests. Talk about EPIC!

Congratulations to our students on another EPIC school year! You have worked hard, remained focused and tenacious, garnered innumerable accolades, and have been EPIC in every sense of the word. Way to go!

Let us honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Their courage and sacrifice will never be forgotten. All campuses will be closed on Monday, May 27th.

We certainly hope that our students enjoy the long weekend ahead of them, but we'd like to also remind them to FINISH STRONG! We have two days after Memorial Day, so let's make them count!

Freeport Elementary School Kindergartners are hard at work preparing for their Spring program next week! Ms. Saltsman and the Kindergarten teachers have put together a fun and engaging program. These Wildcats are as EPIC on stage as they are in the classroom!

Success is not measured solely by academic achievement but by the content of one's character. Part of being EPIC is the display of the fundamental pillars of integrity, empathy, and kindness. These young people were chosen by their Principals for their citizenship and honored today by the Kiwanis Club.
Congratulations to these students for being EPIC members of their community!
