The 2023-2024 school year has officially begun! As we begin the year, here are a few tips for parents and guardians to ensure your child has a great year!
• Ask Questions!
Ask questions about your student’s day - check in on what they’re doing and whether or not any information went home. If you have questions, reach out to the school and ask! It’s a busy time of year, but school personnel are there to make sure your child is successful.
• Stay Informed!
Check out the district website and social media, along with your school’s website and media to make sure you know what’s going on in the life of your student! Also, login to FOCUS regularly so you can keep an eye on those grades! If your child’s teacher uses a class management app like Remind, make sure you join and don’t be afraid to communicate with teachers.
• Start Strong, Stay Strong!
Set great habits right away! Build in time in the afternoon and evening for homework, reading, and skills practice. Double check that your student has everything ready each night before going to bed. Set the habit and keep the habit!
