The American Sign Language Honor Society (ASLHS) recognizes the outstanding achievements of students studying ASL. Their primary objective is to foster and acknowledge exceptional academic achievement in ASL studies. Dues are $25 and must be paid by Friday, September 27. See Ms. Wilson in room 147 (at the end of the yellow hall) for more information.
Honors awards given through ASLHS
To earn an honors cord:
โข Minimum of a B average in ASL course work
โข Two years of ASL taught by a member of the American Sign Language Teachers Association
โข Must be an ASLHS member for at least two years and a member your senior year
โข Minimum 3.0 unweighted GPA
To earn a silver honors medal:
โข Minimum of a B average in ASL course work
โข Three years of ASL taught by a member of the American Sign Language Teachers Association
โข Must be an ASLHS member for at least two years and a member your senior year
โข Minimum 3.0 unweighted GPA
To earn a gold honors medal:
โข Minimum of an A average in ASL course work
โข Three years of ASL taught by a member of the American Sign Language Teachers Association
โข Must be an ASLHS member for at least three years and a member your senior year
โข Minimum 3.0 unweighted GPA
