Below is info regarding Walton High's 2024-2025 registration events:
* For rising 9th grade students - Becoming A Brave:
- Friday, January 26, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:20 p.m. This will be a student-only event during the school day for our rising 9th graders. Students will get a tour of WHS, meet with guidance & administration, visit elective classes, and explore an extracurricular activities fair.
* For current 9th grade students:
- Monday, January 29, during BRAG. BRAG teachers will distribute 2024-2025 registration forms. Students will be advised on getting academic content area teachers to sign off on class recommendations for next school year. Students will rank their top priority elective classes to their 5th choice. Students will be able to share and discuss with parents/guardians about their course request selections. All registration forms should be completed by Thursday, February 1.
- Friday, February 2, during English classes. Students will enter their course selections for the 2024-2025 school year into FOCUS. Students that don't have an English class should turn in their forms to SSA. Guidance will enter their courses into FOCUS.
* For current 10th & 11th grade students:
- Monday, January 29, during BRAG. BRAG teachers will be distributing 2024-2025 registration forms. Students will be advised on getting academic content area teachers to sign off on class recommendations for next school year. Students will rank their top priority elective classes to their 5th choice. Students will be able to share and discuss with parents/guardians about course request selections. All registration forms should be completed by Thursday, February 1.
- Thursday, February 1, during BRAG. BRAG teachers will look over students' course request selections and answer questions about courses for next year.
- Friday, February 2, during English classes. Students will enter their course selections for the 2024-2025 school year into FOCUS. Students that don't have an English class should turn in their forms to SSA. Guidance will enter their courses into FOCUS.
* For rising 9th & 10th grade students - Spring Into Brave Country:
- Tuesday, January 30, from 3:45 to 7:15 p.m. This event is open to rising 9th & 10th grade students and their parents/guardians. Each family will have a one-on-one advising session with a WHS faculty member for academic courses for the 2024-2025 school year. We'll have representatives from CollegeBoard Advanced Placement programs; Northwest Florida State College; and Emerald Coast Technical College.
