First Grade students at WDE have enjoyed participating in “hands on” science activities during the fourth nine weeks of school.
Students planted grass seeds and made observations while watching the plants grow. They learned that plants need soil, water, sunlight, and space to grow. Students were surprised when they came to school on a Monday to find out that some of their plants had grown two to three inches over the weekend! Hands-on activities definitely make learning fun!
