Congratulations to Nyssa Carroll for being selected by her peers as the 2023-2024 Teacher of the Year for West DeFuniak Elementary School! Mrs. Carroll is in her tenth year as teacher at WDE. During this time, she has been a leader of her grade level and within the school, chairing the Spirit Lifters Team and co-sponsoring the first PEP Club at WDE. Mrs. Carroll’s enthusiasm translates to the students which creates a classroom environment that is lively, happy, and supportive. We appreciate Mrs. Carroll for her hard work, dedication, and positive attitude.
