It is my honor to serve as the Bay School Principal. I come to you with a plethora of knowledge and leadership experience. Having received both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education from the University of Auburn, I am ready to serve with my love of education and children. My career started as a Speech Therapist in Montgomery County School System before transitioning into teaching. Walton County School District has been my home since 1997 where I began as an ESE teacher at Freeport Elementary School. In 2013, after pursuing my specialist degree in Educational Leadership, I graduated from the University of West Florida. My journey continued for the next five years as I worked diligently at the district office as a Coordinator for Curriculum and Instruction and oversaw the Pre-K programs district wide. In 2018, I became the Assistant Principal at Emerald Coast Middle School and Bay School before fully transitioning to serve as the Assistant Principal at Dune Lakes Elementary in 2019. My extensive background in working with young children along with my FLDOE certifications in Specific Learning Disabilities, Educational Leadership, Elementary Education, PreK-3rd, ESOL and School Principal will all assist me continuing my journey to serve Bay School. The majority of my educational career has been in the elementary setting, this along with my dedication and consistency will be beneficial in preparing students for Kindergarten and beyond. I will continue to build on the strong foundation that Bay School is known for and where every child can thrive. I am committed to maintaining the success in the growth of early learners and preparing the whole child for a life of success.
