Emerald Coast Middle School enjoyed a fun filled day, celebrating Special Olympics Field Day on Friday, May 5, 2017.  Submitted by Angela Vance.
Paxton High School senior Zach Varnum recently signed a college commitment to continue his basketball career at Coastal Alabama Community College in Bay Minette, Alabama. Zach was a force on the Bobcats varsity basketball team, according to Coach Jeff Bradley during the signing ceremony, scoring a total 1875 points during his varsity career with a record of 99 wins and only 17 losses. He was also named the Northwest Florida Daily News Small School Player of the Year for the third time this year, the first time any player has ever received the prestigious honor three times. Congratulations to the winners of the 1st PHS Spanish Competition. The winners can be seen below as follows: Spanish II Second Place - Bryson Kimmons, Spanish II First Place - Tennyson Greggs, Spanish I Second Place - Elizabeth Phillips, and Spanish I First Place - Christopher Lewis. WMS 7th and 8th grade students who earned Gaming Essentials or Web Essentials digital tools certification. Four of these students earned both digital tool certifications. Congratulations to these students for their accomplishments. Submitted by Laurie Cook.
